The lagoon is adjacent to a sandy beach area for visitors with a concession stand, a picnic area and a green lawn. Located alongside the Contra Loma Reservoir in Antioch, the man-made Contra Loma swimming lagoon is a great break from the heat during the summer months. With lifeguard supervision during the warmer swimming season, the lake is a kid friendly family destination. Lake Anza is an East Bay paradise located within Tilden Park near Berkeley. Amenities include a beach picnic area, a volleyball court, the Magic Mountain Playground. Visitors can also stand up paddle and kayak and visit the saltwater marsh, the beach and the marina. All the facilities at the Roberts Park Pool are wheelchair accessible. The park is filled with redwood trees and the 24-yard heated outdoor pool is open to the public from mid-April through the end of September.
